Who is Tatiana
Who Indeed...
I was born and raised in Edina, I certainly love cake.
After high school I went to the University of Minnesota graduated in 2004 with my Art degree and bounced around various areas of the Twin Cities until I found a quaint little house in St. Paul. It's been my happy place since 2013.
I'm a person who has a hard time staying still, getting a house has kept me plenty busy but I still manage to tack on many little projects, at the moment there are probably 10 in progress projects. These consist of art projects, some painting, crafting or upcycling things that I don't want to imagine polluting the soil for 1000 years. The main ones are my tiny mobile trailer home and the boat.
How did Shawn and Tat Meet
Well we met how a lot of people meet these days, on the interwebs. I've been off and on dating sites for quite some time. Obviously none of the previous meetings turned into anything serious, however, it is how I have meet some good friends over the years.
Shawn's profile caught my attention, not just because he is so dashing, and that hair! It was also that he was thorough in his profile. He had thoughts, intelligence and wit, these are things that a lot of profiles lack. After we matched and exchanged a few lengthy messages he asked me out.
That First Date
Shawn made some strategically smart moves, the first, of course was asking me out for sushi. The second was that he was very focused on our conversation, he made me comfortable and the conversation was natural.
After a few dates I think we both knew that this was a good thing. Perhaps after testing out some puns and dad jokes on me, he knew that when I sarcastically chuckled, and in turn made him LOL, we were a match.
The One Ring
And the Proposal: Little did I know, he had intended to propose while we were on a vacation. However the ring did not arrive on time, so he had to wait.... his patience was tested.
He had been obsessing about this delivery for more than a week. He orders a lot of things online so this was not unusual. When we returned from our trip it was late so the next morning we ran errands including stopping at the local UPS store, he was very excited. We got home and he ran upstairs, I sat in the living room to relax and he came down and asked. I was slightly shocked at first but of course I said yes with happy tears and a huge smile.
